About this course:
In this course, we explore voting in different parts of the ancient world and consider the differences between direct democracies like Classical Athens and representative democracies like the Roman Republic. We then turn to our modern world and explores how some of these differences in the nature of democracy help explain idiosyncrasies like the Brexit vote in the UK and the 2016 presidential election in the United States. This course will be recorded. Students will have access to the video for 30 days.
